Gauteng Maker Fair Challenge

Every August Groundspeak runs some form of a challenge. In 2013 the challenge was to find a cache a day for the month of August.
In the Northern Hemisphere this is quite easy as it is during the summer, but here in South African it is winter and the days are shorter and it's cold. A lot of people found a cache a day and the community helped each other out by planting caches. These caches were quick "grab" caches and a lot were not of good quality.

Some Gauteng geocachers got talking and decided to launch an event at the home of GEO936 to showcase some of the *better* caches. Mr Antron from Vereenging showcased his mastery at the event, with Mr GEO936, as well as a few others.  It was decided to run a "Maker Fair challenge" for 1 year where the caches that have the most favourite points at the end of a full year would receive special prizes.

The 3 categories were:
  1) Best cache
  2) Runner up
  3) Best series

The results were:

1) Tudor House  29 Fav points  Looney Larksman
2) VV-Birdbox Series- Fluffy Robin  27 Fav points Victoriousviljoens
