International Geocaching day on the West Coast

International Geocaching day was also hosted on the West Coast

On Saturday the 15th of August 2015 the West Coast geocachers hosted there first event at Langebaan on the beach. The event was hosted by team eneveraa and assisted by team wildbirds. We were a total wopping 3 teams that attended the event, team eneveraa, team wildbirds and team terunkie.

We started the event by meeting at a local beach restaurant for breakfast. After breakfast we went out in the cold as it was a wet and raining day to try and fly some kites, as Langebaan is known for its wind and kite flying is normally done here by the kids.

All 3 teams manage to find some FTF's in the area.

Since team wildbirds and team enevera moved down to the West Coast, the number of geocaches has grown by a huge number.  This area is starting to get on the map as more and more cachers are visiting this area which are becoming a big attraction area for cachers over weekends.

Langebaan, Saldhana, Vredenburg, St Helena Bay Paternoster and Jakobsbay is about a 2 hour drive from Cape Town.  Hope to see more cachers here soon.

Thanking You
Team eneveraa
